Jason Parry is Director of Strategic Initiatives at MountainStar Capital Partners. Jason has built a multi-faceted career based on research, analysis, and entrepreneurship with applications in healthcare, insuretech and ESG technologies; startups, early-stage investing, corporate development, M & A, and consulting. Jason uses his skills and broad base of expertise to help companies grow and thrive, to guide investment, acquisition, and capital strategies, and to help companies compete and succeed.
Throughout his career, Jason has worked with innovative companies and founders to plan and fund growth, or on behalf of investors and acquirers to deploy capital. Past projects include multiple health-tech company exits, renewable energy and clean water infrastructure financing, delivery driver monitoring and scoring, distributed microgrids in Florida, smart home design and manufacturing, regenerative agriculture farm development, and other sustainable products.
Jason volunteers as a mentor and advisor and has helped to start and grow several state programs and nonprofits, including GrowFL, Economic Gardening, The UNF Center For Entrepreneurial Innovations, Renaissance Jacksonville, and Yoga4Change. He has his BS from Florida State University and his MBA from the University of North Florida. He is an active runner, swimmer, hiker, and kayaker, and was a competitive sailor in college and beyond. Jason has one daughter, Emily; he and his daughter love the outdoors, especially being on or in the water.
