Michael Johnsen is the Director of Real Estate at MountainStar Partners. Mr. Johnsen is a highly experienced professional who oversees and directs the operations of all commercial and multifamily residential real estate investments. With over twenty-three years of experience in the Real Estate industry, Mr. Johnsen provides leadership and management to the department. He is key in executing all projects (acquisitions, dispositions, relocations, new construction, etc.) based on the company’s strategic plan and needs. In 2016, MountainStar produced over ten million in luxury property sales, all piloted by Mr. Johnsen.

Prior to MountainStar Partners, Mr. Johnsen was the Vice President of Real Estate at Ponte Vedra Management Group (PVMG), individually managing over fifty properties (commercial and residential) and both Capri and SDM Condo Associations.

Before joining PVMG, he served as a Management and Operations Consultant at Imagine Orthodontics Inc. and as Chief Operating Officer of Orthodontic Centers of America (NYSE: OCA). As COO of OCA, Mr. Johnsen supervised proprietary office designs and business systems that resulted in both OCA’s high growth and consistent earnings (Market Cap of $1.5 B). Mr. Johnsen directed the efforts of seven Vice Presidents and the staff of 300 doctors and developed doctor-relations strategies for over 400 affiliated professionals. He supervised the successful building and opening of over 500 new offices and helped to increase operating incomes exceeding 35% of net revenues.

Throughout his career, Mr. Johnsen has operated multi-state orthodontic practices, implemented doctor and patient production schedules, leased offices throughout the Southeast, integrated various practices for IPO, and overseen a plethora of real estate deals.

Mr. Johnsen served on the Board of Directors for Orthodontic Centers of America for 8 years, and served our country in Germany as a member of the United States Army. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree from George Williams College of Aurora University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
